Restaurants in Madrid in generalNewest Review: ... found us rather than we found it. I do not remember how we got there. It was of Montera Street if you keep walking uphill and cross that big street that more or less is the unofficial of the Red Light District. We could not find it later in the day time. So we step down into this dingy little bar with this loud techno music blastng from some well-self-satisfied DJ who apparently thought he was somebody special. All this flashing neon lights were throbbing. The first thing I see is these two guys and two girls dressed in togas like Greek Gods (from Poland) on thrones that were mounted up by the bar and seperated by the liquid sto... more |

If you go to spain you will have to try their popular paella rice. It's like fried rice with loads of variety of meat and seafood. When I was in Madrid, I had the most fabulous time indulging in food. Not that I can afford any restaurants, so I opted for the cheper alternative, coffee shops. The ones that are away from the tourist main streets are normally the best ones. Look out for white board outside the coffee shop which offers set meals, they are normally cheap and very filling. The set menu I had was so much that I think two persons can share one. And eating in this kind of places, you may find some communication breakdown, people don't normally ... Read the complete review
