Update. Miguels at the corner of Calle Cristo is no longer there and is now a tobacconist and wine store, pity as it was one of the best restaurants in Nerja. Casa Lugue has stopped serving Tapas in the evening. Once a very good upmarket place for tapas (the best in town) now jus a very expensive restaurant

Tavernas and restaurants are in abundance in Nerja, with something to cater for every taste and pocket. Food varies from Spanish and Mexican to international cuisine. There are even a couple of Chinese and Japanese restaurants. For those wanting to sample tapas, Nerja has an excellent choice. There are several pizzerias and cheap but very cheerful tavernas.
