Newest Review: ... any weight with French drivers. I'm almost certain that if there had been room we would have found drivers trying to park their cars between the tables! Gildas Delamer also own a wine merchants elsewhere in Paris (15 Rue de la Reynie) and consequently have an interesting list of wines on their menu. This is predominantly a fish restaurant although they also have a respectable list of meat dishes. Vegetarian, however, is not their thing. We ate there twice, trying fish on the first occasion and meat on the second. Neither disappointed. The Orestias (pronounced O-re-STIE-as) is a Greek/French restaurant in the St. Germain (6ème) quarter of Paris. The prices are staggeringly low and the food is excellent – they do a “menu à 46F” (only until 8pm on weekdays), which includes a starter (including very tasty charcuterie – mixed ham and salamis), and a main course (the steak comes very highly recommended – I can’t comment on the other dishes because all six of us had the same thing!). House wine is often seen as the ultimate Gallic gamble, but the house red here is more than adequate – and, of course, very cheap.
