Newest Review: ... a paneer pakora starter and lamb karahi main, while my friend opted for vegetable pakora and a butter chicken main. She was surprised to see that her usual favourite, korma, didn't feature at all on the menu, as it seems to be a staple curry in Indian restaurants both in the UK and abroad but was quite happy to go for something slightly different. I'm not picky at all when it comes to Indian food and could literally point at the menu at random and be happy with whatever I'd chosen, but have to say that lamb karahi is a regular order of mine and so I was happy to see it on the menu. Having spent the past six months in sunny Valencia on the Spanish coast, it's a bit strange to now find myself in Leipzig, which lies within East Germany or the GDR as was. Aside from having to get used to speaking a different language in a place with impenetrable accents (the Leipziger accent has been described as having the prestige of Brummy mixed with the intelligibility of Glaswegian, to give you an idea of what it's like) we're also having to settle into a new culture and climate, as well as having to navigate around an unfamiliar city. All of that along with the stress of having to find somewhere to live for the next few months is making me wish that I were back .. Read the complete review
