Advantages: fantastic food, decent prices for the big portions, good service, 50 kinds of cheesecake!!

Disadvantages: only in America

The Cheesecake Factory is one of my favourite restaurants in America. Although it is a chain, it really does serve some of the most delicious food with fantastic service.

Cheesecake Factories are based in 146 locations over America and I have visited ones in Chicago, LA and Hawaii and they all keep to the same great standard. The restaurants are very well designed with large comfortable boots, over-exaggerated moulded iron swirls and curves around the tables and around the interior walls. There are sumptuous colours everywhere and a real statement of obvious luxury. The lighting is low and mellow but the atmosphere is always buzzing. When you enter the restaurant you will be greeted by a waiter and asked for how many your table will be, you may have to wait a while, especially if is it peak dinner time, you will be given a buzzer to come alive when you table is ready and will wait on some comfy chairs, but the time flies by as there will be a big glass counter will all the different types of cheesecake on offer for you to stare at! They have so many varieties from classic baked, to snickers, to Godiva - their ultimate chocolate cheesecake, and lighter options too.

When you are seated you will be given a thick menu, a bit like a flip chart and filled with yummy foods. They are split into sections such as salads, burgers, pizzas, pastas, fish, brunch, light lunches, mains and of course desserts including the 50 cheesecakes. I have had an omelette on one visit which was tasty and rather large. On a different visit to the LA Cheesecake Factory which is just off Rodeo Drive I had a Cobb salad which again was plentiful and the most amazing salad I have ever eaten with lots of blue cheese, chicken and crispy bacon. I am also a huge fan of the sandwiches, and a particularly enjoyable one is the Navajo - warm fry bread with grilled chicken, avocado, lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayonnaise with chips on the side, this was so big that I could have actually shared it with my friend! There are also fresh fish dishes and specials of the day. Prices are approximately £10 for a main.

I definitely recommend this restaurant as it caters for everyone at very decent prices.

Summary: A great restaurant as there is something for everyone
