“ Brand: Disney / Role-Playing Games Type: Childrens Role Play „
My daughter has recently started enjoying the Disney princesses and when we go around the shops she always points out things that she wants from the ranges. For her birthday she got some money from relatives and after a lot of deliberating, she decided she wanted to buy this Belle tea set. She was 4 when we bought it for her.
---About the product:
The Disney Belle Teapot Set is a typical tea set containing 4 plates, 4 cups, 4 spoons, a jug, a sugar bowl with lid and the giant teapot which holds all of the set. The teapot is clear plastic and is decorated to look a bit like Mrs Potts from the Beauty and the Beast film. It has stickers on for the eyes and the mouth and the spout is obviously the nose. The set has one each of a pink, purple, yellow and blue piece and the sugar bowl is pink and purple while the jug is a clear pink colour. Most of the pieces have a sticker of Belle on them which all look the same. The set is recommended for children aged 3 and over.
My daughter was very excited when we bought this so she wanted us to play with it as soon as we got home. It had no packaging on it except for the tag, but the teapot lid was secured with a cable tie which was very hard to cut off as it was secured so tightly! Once we had managed to get into it, we had lots of fun playing with the set and having pretend tea parties for my daughters cuddly toys. The only thing I noticed that I wasn't too pleased with was that the stickers aren't always stuck down straight but I don't think this spoils the enjoyment for my daughter when she's playing with it. It is great that it all fits back in the teapot at the end and there is still some space in it for some of her pretend cakes to go so she can take it to other people's houses to play with. We did put some water in the jug and the cups and we were able to drink from them but you need to be careful with this because the stickers are paper based.
For a Disney princess fan like my daughter, this is a very nice set. It needs to be used carefully and avoid liquid on the paper stickers so that they don't come off and I would therefore either use it just for pretend play or with slightly older children who can understand they have to be careful with it. If you want to buy a cheap and cheerful play tea set for a young child; this is not for you. Or if you want high quality that is going to last for a long time; this is not for you. But if you want a set for a princess fan with her favourite Disney princess on it, then I would recommend getting one of these. We have been really happy with the Belle one as it looks like Mrs Potts so my daughter can link it with the film she enjoys. I would be happy to buy this again for my daughter and for £10 retail price it is a reasonable set for my little princess.
