Advantages: Great art, rules and ideas

Disadvantages: Nothing really

The New PHB and the DMG for that matter and both totally different games to what has gone before. Rather than just rehashing the old tired rule these are totally new.

I am the President of my University RPG Society and they love this game. There are 3 separate versions running at the moment that I know of and they all think it is great!

I own all of the main books for it at the moment and intend to gather more.

Buy it, especially if you are tired of AD+D 2. It will bring life back to a tired campaign!
