      A good dressing up outfit

My daughter when through quite a phase of being mad about Fireman Sam and would babble away about everything to do with Fireman Sam and the programme in general. That phase has now passed and Peppa has replaced it! Anyhow at that time, my sister passed on this Early Learning Centre Firefighter Outfit that her youngest boy had outgrown for my daughter to enjoy and she certainly did at the time.

This ELC firefighter outfit is usually priced at £12 but is currently on offer on the ELC website. I'm not quite sure I would have spent the £12 on this, but I would have purchased it at the reduced price it is currently on at . The outfit consists of a jacket and trousers, and although my sister passed on the hat, it appears that you have to actually purchase the hat separately, contrary to what the picture shows above. This outfit is aimed at children from age 3 to 6, and my daughter wasn't even two when she got this, so you can imagine it was a little oversized for her, although she is tall for her age. This didn't bother her at all, and I was able to roll up the sleeves of the jacket and trouser legs to make it easier for her to enact her hero at the time 'Fireman Sam'.

I love the fact that this jacket is very easy to get on and off, as it is kept together with velcro. So my daughter can pull it off herself when she got tired of it, or at least attempt to pull it off herself. The bright reflective yellow trousers have an elasticated waist which is useful when you are putting them over day to day clothing during a dressing up time. I think the material is pretty durable for a child, given how hard they can be on clothing in general, never mind dressing up clothes.

When my daughter got this from my sister, she was desperate to put it on, despite it being a little on he big size for her. Everytime a visitor would come into our house she would insist on getting this firefighter outfit on and showing off putting out pretend fires. Her daddy even cut her a bit of old garden hose for her to use rather than the brush she had picked up to resemble Sam's hose!

Since my daughter has moved on to Peppa she had stopped playing with this, however, after we moved house at the start of the summer, this outfit got a new lease of life and she plays with it quite a lot again, especially if it is a very wet day and we are inside playing a lot.

This is therefore perfect for any budding Sam;s out there and it really does bring young children a lot of enjoyment and fun pretending to be their favourite character. I'm glad we got ours for free, however, as I said, I would purchase this for the reduced price due to the quality and the fun that my daughter has had with it.
