If you thought psionics was just about reading minds ... think again. For about 2 years I played a telepath in a Planescape game, and that was only one aspect of the character. Psionics can control thier own body (metabolics), control matter (kinetics), read (and scramble) minds (teleapthy). Some people might just think of them being a "Mind mage" but they go much fursther than that as there abilities are not classed as magic and thus there are alot of things a psi can do that a mage cannot.
