The complete book of Dwarves is an indispensable resource for players and dungeon masters alike in AD&D, although I must admit, as a non standard character player, I rarely used it outside of running games. It contains most of the information you would ever need on most of the dwarven races, including their history, statistic modifiers and skills/characteristics for each subrace, specialist character 'kits' (A kit is a specialised skill set that can be applied to a character according to it's class and the way the player wishes to play it), as well as sections on designing dwarven adventure campaigns, and dwarven strongholds/mines. This book is every dwarf lovers dream! Dwarven berserkers (love em .... an unstoppable force of nature). Kits for priests, thieves, and fighters. This book provides a lot more reason to be a dwarvf ... other than the "they are good as the party tank" attitude. There are new dwarven armour and weapons. Also there now more than one type of dwarf ..... all the sub-types of dwarf are there mountain dwarves, hill dwarves, duergar etc. This book brings a richness to the dwarves beyond the players handbook, I spent six months playing a berserker played from the rules in this book and enjoyed every minute ... at least until I put on the campaign worlds version of the ...
