My daughter wanted a "kitchen" for Christmas so when I came across this kitchen in Argos I snapped it up. It was reduced from £70 to £35 and rather then being black and red like the one in the picture, it is blue (the door, worktop and sink) and grey.
This kitchen took quite a bit of building, but after thirty minutes or so it was all done. I found I had to read the instructions a few times but they were relatively easy to follow.
The kitchen comes with pots and pans, plates, bowls, cutlery and some food (including salt and pepper shakers). The only negative I have is that it didn't come with any cups, but my daughter has cups and beakers from other playsets which she uses alongside her kitchen. If your child doesn't have any cups then you could pick some up quite cheaply in the likes of Poundland or the such.
There is a great large cupboard/oven in this play kitchen in which you can store all the pots, pans and food away when playtime is over and there are hooks on the "extractor fan/cooker hood" on which to hang the utensils and cutlery.
This kitchen is a very interactive toy. The knobs on the cooker make noises and the saucepan also boils and bubbles when the food is cooking! There is also a sink which has a pipe running from the underside of the tap to the plug hole, so if you wanted you could also have water here for more fun.
I like how much thought has gone into this kitchen. The small details really make this an outstanding toy for my daughter to play with. From the shelves in the oven/grill, to the noises of the saucepans bubbling, the little menu card and the plates of chips, beans and sausages, I am very pleased with this toy kitchen and highly recommend it. It is the first toy my daughter plays with in the morning and I can see it being part of her daily play for quite a while to come!
My daughter wanted a little play kitchen for my grandson, and since it was near Christmas I decided to buy him one but I searched in a lot of shops and could not find one that was of a reasonable price.
Then one day I went into Toys R Us and I saw this kitchen for £39.99 which reduced from £69.99 which was an absolutely bargain, so I bought it, the price would not have been found anywhere for this low price.
My grandson absolutely loves it, he plays with it all the time and finds it fascinating and lots of fun.
It is very good for a child's role-play, it is made of sturdy safe plastic, it has lots of food accessories and play food, so the child can pretend to cook.
It has some cooking utensils, little pans, plates, spoons and lots more and it has an oven at the front for them to put the play food into and they think they are helping in their own kitchen, it is quite cute and the food is like burgers and beans.
There is a little sink at the top of the kitchen and a fridge next to the oven and the sink can have water used in it, it also makes voice sounds and noises of a busy kitchen. It is super value for money and children can play for hours with this toy.
It has a little paper menu and a pad for the Cook to take peoples orders.
My grandson is not old enough as yet to use it to it's full potential but at the moment he just loves using the pans and food and opening the oven door as it is learning him about how to use these type of items and having fun at the same time.
It is very colourful and the sounds make it make believe in a little child's mind and a couple of children can have lots of fun together as well as parents.
It is nice and light so can easily be moved around the home.
The chefs caps and aprons are not included with this item.
I recommend it for anyone to try for their child or grandchild or any child for a gift or just as a special present, it is best to try and look around to see if you can also find it at a bargain price.
I give it a 5 star.
