Advantages: The Great Flow Of The Game

Disadvantages: The Cost of the game

Dooyooers,
Warhammer 40k is a spin off of Warhammer, which is fantasy battles. 40k is a futuristic view of firepower in the year 40k. Figures start from 2 pounds. Most figures are metal but some, like tanks for example are plastic. You can build your own battle scene using homemade terrain or you can get sturdy resin terrain from forgeworld.co.uk, which is a division of Games Workshop. The game is ran on a dice format, eg.to hit a certain figure you have to roll a 4+, and then to wound a 3+, you get the idea?

Warhammer 40k is a game in which costs alot of modey, if you are planning to join or start collecting then you have to have enough revenue coming in for your other needs. In Warhammer 40k you can collect, Space Marines, which look like the star wars men with white things on their heads. You can collect Imperial Guard who look like army men as they do now. You can collect eldar who are an advanced tribe of humans thousands of years advanced of the imperial guard. There are Chaos who are an evil tribe from a warp hole, who are based on the cartoon pics, of hell. You can also collect Space Wolves, Tyranids, and a couple more, sorry to people who's army I have not mentioned!

The game was recently updated with a new rulebook which costs 25 pounds. I personially would like to see the price of the rulebook dropped. My army, which are the Imperial Guard is a 6 thousand point army, its has cost me a total of about 2-3 thousands pounds. (See what I mean about earlier!) Once you get started you can't help yourself from buying another figure of army. You can ally in certain battles, and before you start you have to roll dice to see what scenario you will play, you may have to play take and hold, in which a defender has a building and the attacker has to take, then the reserves of the defenders arrive, and then hold. You have to paint all your arm
y in any colour sceme as you want, but it takes ages! A great game!
