Warhammer 40,000 3rd Edition, A bridge too far? (Warhammer 40 000)
Member Name: Machina
Advantages: Absorbing, Fun Disadvantages: Price, Short-Lived, Childish
I first started collecting Warhammer 40,000 during the second edition which was almost five years ago. The first thing that strikes you about Warhammer 40k (Or any of the Games Workshop games) is the depth of detail involved. The history of the game is very detailed and that adds to the atmostphere of playing at home and in a store. The next thing you see is the price. This game is not pocket money, it costs £50 to get the all essential rules (which nerdy types will use against you at all times...) and a small army. Then comes the painting, then finally the playing. The playing of the game is labriously slow and can be very infuriating against cetain opponents. Summary: |
