Speedo Wet Kit Bag
by jipp05
If you are going to go swimming it makes sense to have a waterproof bag to put your wet towel and trunks/costume in. I used to use a carrier bag inside of my backpack but this Speedo bag which is especially designed for your swimming kit is a much better solution than the carrier bag. It was also really cheap and only cost me £3.99 from ... my local sports shop which is the main reason that I bought it as if it had been expensive I would have probably just continued to use a carrier to be honest.
I have the black version but I know it also comes in red and blue so it might also come in other colours too. The bag is made of polyester and is waterproof. Or waterproof to the extent that my wet swimming towel and trunks do not leak through the fabric.
Inside the bag isn't all that roomy and capacity is going to be at a minimum but as you are probably only going to be using it at the swimming pool it should be enough for most people. It will fit in your towel and trunks/costume ok and also your clothes, wallet etc when you are in the pool. Even when filled to capacity it is an ideal size for all lockers and it fits in fine without having to remove stull out of it like I have to do with my backpack.
The bag doesn't have zips to close it and instead you need to secure it shut by pulling on the strings to tighten it. This still leaves a gap on top so not ideal if it is raining for example and you want to keep things dry.
It also has thin string shoulder straps which aren't the most comfortable things in the world and it never seems to sit on my shoulders properly without sliding about.
Because it isn't all that comfortable to wear I usually just use as I would a carrier bag and place it in my backpack. It does do a good job of keeping my backpack from getting wet and it has the added benefit of stopping my backpack from smelling with socks and trainers etc. It is also really lightweight so can be stored away easily. I actually took it camping with me recently so that I could store my dirty clothes away from the rest of my things and it packed away taking up hardly any room whatsoever.
At the end of the day this is a cheap polyester bag that does what it is supposed to. There is nothing fancy about it but if you are wanting something that will keep your wet towels and costume separated from your dry things then this does the job well. Just don't buy it expecting it to be comfortable to wear as it isn't. Read the complete review |

Asics Gymsack
by newby2
==Asics Gym Sac==
With Jack starting reception class in the September of last year. I don't think we realised exactly how much new gear he would need in order to have everything listed in the school booklet. It cost us a small fortune even though we did try to get the things he needed from the place which had the best ... prices.
This Asics gym bag was something that was ideal for his PE kit at school as it was lightweight and we got it for a much cheaper price than any other gym bag we saw. We bought it is Sports Direct for a mere £1.99p which is really good for a make like Asics and like I said cheaper than any other one we had seen.
The bag is not a child size one so it is a little big for Jack to hold but the majority of the time it will just stay on his peg at school with his PE kit on it and only coming home in the holidays. The bag is made of a waterproof polyurethane material and is an all black colour all but the logo of the Asics make. The draw string cords are soft yet strong and I can't see any damage being done to them from Jack.
The only trouble was finding somewhere to write his name on the bag because it was all black so I have had to write it in black permeant marker on the Asics logo which wasn't that easy as the logo is not overly big. This doesn't stand out too much but I guess it would be enough if the bag ever did get lost.
All in all I have to say that for the bargain price we paid for this little gym sac it is well worth the money and will hopefully goo strong for the rest of his school life at primary school. The bag is strong and durable and doesn't look cheap although the price was very cheap in my opinion. I think nothing but a top score of 5 out of 5 stars and a high recommendation will do for this Asics gym bag.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
Many thanks for taking the time to read. Read the complete review |

Puma Big Cat Gym Sack
by BlueOcean
I bought this bag as I needed a simple, lightweight bag for cycling trips and swimming. After a bit of browsing I decided on this one which I got online from SportsDirect.com for £5. This was one of the cheapest bags I could find and given how long it has lasted is excellent value.
THE LOOK
The bag comes in a variety of ... colours to suit both males and females including black with a grey puma, blue with a dark blue puma or the fuschia pink version as seen in the picture which is the one I have. The design is simple with a silver leaping puma logo on a plain pink background. The top of the bag has a black trim around the edge with black drawstrings either side. Overall it has a pretty and attractive design which is ultimately what made me choose it.
THE DESIGN
The bag has a single large central compartment with no pockets or zips. It is a drawstring with 2 straps either side that can be pulled apart to close the top. When the bag is on the strings ensure a tight seal around the opening to keep it securely shut even when there's not much in the bag. It is small-sized with a depth of 44cm and width of 39cm.
THE USAGE
It is incredibly lightweight and the best thing about this bag is that it can just be whipped out and thrown on in seconds. It can be folded or scrunched into a ball so takes up hardly any space at all and storage is not an issue. The straps are reasonably thick which makes them quite comfortable to wear for short periods at a time although if you fill the bag with very heavy items the straps begin to dig in. For longer use you would probably want to invest in something with more padding and support such as rucksack. Despite its initial appearance it is actually capable of carrying a fair amount of items. I have managed to fit in my large water bottle, trainers, waterproof and lunch with lots of room to spare. Unlike most bags it is easy to wash and can just be tossed in the washing machine.
THE QUALITY
It is not the most robust of bags and is probably not designed for heavy wear. However having said that mine has been thrown all over the place and used regularly and is still in good condition. The polyester material is waterproof and is fairly resistant to wear and tear. Although the colour has faded slightly in some places there are no tears as you would expect from such thin material and it is pretty tough.
Overall a great bag given the price and although not the best quality it certainly holds up well and does good job. I would recommend it. Read the complete review |
