I needed a lightweight bag for use when I go swimming and walking, just to hold a towel and swimming costume and a bit of loose change, and a bottle of drink and picnic rug when I go for a walk.I have a toddler so I needed something very lightweight to stick under the pushchair (I don't really like rucksacks and they'd be too bulky for my needs).
