I carried the Berghaus freeflow IV 35+8 for over two years of continuous travel, plus a few other trips before hand and have been more than impressed with its durability. The bag has been dragged through monsoon weather and generally abused with rough travelling for a considerable period of time and it has not ripped or even frayed-other than dirt the only mark is a small cut on the waistband where I pushed it out a window that had shards of very sharp glass in the frame. The bag is genuinely durable and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a bag that will stand up well to adverse conditions. The bag is 35L which is a little smaller than average for a ... This rucksack is a new version from the Freeflow range from Berghaus and comes with a number of improvements over the earlier models. It is a medium-sized day sack with a main capacity of 35 litres. The +8 name comes from the really well designed expandable 4 litre pockets built into each side. These are ideal for the likes of drinks bottles and all those bits and pieces you will want to be able to get at during the day without having to rummage around in the main compartment. The two compression straps on each side stop these pockets flopping out and keep everything neat and compact. Inside the main compartment is a slim pocket for holding a hydration ... I have had this rucksack for about two and a half years now, it is an excellent day sack that is ideal for taking just enough for an over night camping trip provided that you carry your tent externally and really do adopt a minimalist approach to what you carry, it comes into its own as a daysack for hiking or going around a city, lately it has been great for day trips with my baby daughter as I can carry so much in it. It has a capacity of 35 litres, don't be fooled by the extra 8 litre capacity as this is in the form of two expandable side pockets and as such if you are using a dry sack as a lining for your main storage anything in these side pockets will ... I bought the 2011 (comes with base pocket) version of this pack for a one day climbing or camping bag. Personally i like a variety of pockets to stay organised and to keep things clean which is the main reason i opted for this bag. I was concerned about it being slightly too small but its coped so far. The main pocket is big enough to take either my full climbing gear, harness, camelpac and rope or a sleeping bag, air mat and tent. The base pocket (which can be opened up to access or expand the main pocket) is large enough for a big lunch box or camping stove and accessories and you're still left with 7 small pockets. The standard 2 lid pockets and 2 expanding ... Read the complete review

The Berghaus Freeflow Rucksack is a very solid, sturdy and long lasting rucksack, perfect for carrying pretty much everything, mine always keeping me company during smaller hikes, walks in the forest and general out doors activity. I`ve always trusted Berghaus as a reliable and good quality product, so I didn`t really think twice about buying this product, and seeing as it holds 43 liters, it was the perfect ammount I was looking for when needing a rucksack to transport the variety of equipment I bring with me on short hikes and etc... Outside of this rucksack, there`s four pockets, very suitable for carrying bottles of water, snacks and so on, and the main ... Read the complete review
