Advantages: lots of pockets, quality, affordable
Disadvantages: tight on the 15L, would like a headphone output
The Kasba daysack by gelert comes in a range of colours, including red (pictured), blue and black.
It claims to be a 15 litre capacity rucksack, although i would say this was quite a tight estimate, but still it is a good size - for example on my last train tourney it could easily fit in my camcorder, a book, magazine, bottle of water and all my other bits and pieces.
The main section features an inside zip pocket, which is great for valuables or something you might need to keep separate or flat, and the zips have a feature enabling you to secure them with a small padlock if required (like on most suitcases).
Its all these small features which make it such a great little daysack. The two side pockets are of reasonable size, and the front pocket opens out to reveal a multi pocket organiser - with a phone pocket, pen holder, clip for keys, small zip pocket and a couple of other little flaps, making it easy to get your hands on what you're after. it also has a small zip pocket on the front, which i find ideal for my mp3 player - would be nice if it had one of those little headphone output things though.
The back and straps are well padded, making it comfy if carrying it for long times or with heavy weight, and the straps feature hoops in them to make adjusting them easy. The utility ladder on the front would also be useful for clipping things on, although i admit i have not used this yet.
Made by gelert, you are getting a well made product (which incidently comes with a lifetime manufacturing guarantee) and its a very reasonable price - Mine was bought in go outdoors for £6, and i know they are under £10 on amazon. if you are looking for a small rucksack this really is a good option.
Summary: for the price a very good and well made daysack
