I bought this bag just over a year ago priced at only £3-£4 from Sports Direct.
Although mine is not in the colour pink, but is instead black with a silver Puma logo in the middle of the front of the bag. The shop only had black and pink designs in so i'm not sure if other colours are available.
I was not after anything fancy nor particularly bothered about the brand as I was just after a bag to throw my trainers and water bottle in. This bag did just the trick.
The bag is fairly simple in design, there are no pockets or inner compartments inside the bag. Opening and closing the bag is simple and quick due to the drawstrings. Once closed the bag is secure and nothing would accidently fall out. The bag has also got wet in the rain and although it is not really waterproof I did not find the contents of the bag to get damaged (maybe not a great idea to put any important pieces of paper in there though if it rains - and keep in mind, if you are putting any A4 size paper in as I found when closing the bag the drawstring will end up rolling the paper and causing a crease)
The dimensions of the bag are H46 x W38cm. I had no problems using the bag. I give it 3/5 stars as it's a pretty average bag and will hold quite a bit in it - it's basic in design but it's not long lasting. It will begin to wear out from the bottom of the bag that it can be noticeable - but then again at such a cheap price and such a simple design that is bound to happen.
I did find the bag useful whilst going to the gym and it did get used for the purpose I intended. The bag would be ideal for children to take to school or as p.e/gym bags.

~ Puma Big Cat Gym Sack ~
I remember having these sort of bags whilst in high school, they were all the rage and anyone who was anyone had one. There were all different colours and makes available and it is very much the same way now.
My son has so many of these bags it's redicilous yet when I asked if I could borrow one for swimming he looked horrified! 'Eww mum, but your boobs have been in your swimming costume and you can't put your knickers in my bag!'. Ok, fair point (fussy get!), I didn't see the big deal myself but I'm not an 11 year old boy so whilst in town I popped into the sports shop and bought myself a sports bag for the grand sum of £4.99.
There were quite a few to choose from, some as cheap as £1.99 and going upwards in price to about £15, there were a good amount of designs too and I have since bought another two but at the time this Puma gym sack stood out and looked quite feminine and girly whilst still being a gym sack.
As a family we go swimming every weekend and I also go in the week sometimes too, when going with the family I tend to just take a larger bag as I have my little one in with me to change him and tend to find it easier to just have everything slung into a big bag but when it's just me I don't need a big bag.
This gym sack is of average size, the dimensions are 44cm high x 39cm wide, there is the one main compartent of the bag and that is it.
There are no zips on the bag yet it is secure whilst you are carrying it as the drawstrings work together and pull it in tight so no one can get into your stuff if that is something that worries you.
I generally put in a towel, my costume, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and it holds all this quite comfortable with room for my purse and whatever else I may be carrying like a bottle of water or such.
It's quite comfortable to carry when everything is dry, yet after you have been swimming and the towel is damp etc. it add weight and then it makes it more uncomfortable as the thin rope like straps have a tendancy to dig into your shoulders.
The bag has held up very well, I use it quite often atleast twice a week and it's still looking good, a few marks here and there but nothing a quick wash wouldn't get rid of. I have put it in the machine on a low heat cycle and it hasn't harmed it at all.
I'm not sure whether it is marketed as waterproof or not but I don't find that any dampness from the wet stuff inside comes through onto me whilst carrying it but then again my stuff are not dripping wet!
It's great for the gym or swimming as it can be folded up rather small and flat and placed into the bottom of a locker. I do this then put my folded clothes on top of it!
It's quite an attractive looking bag for a gym bag! It's pink in colour with black straps, there's a black edging at the top as well as two little grey corners. The Puma in the middle is a silver/grey colour and so far this shows no signs of fading or scratching off.
For the cheap price I am quite impressed with this bag. I don't look after it particularly well, I simply throw it into the boot of the car or into the passenger footwell, so it does get knocked about but it's holding up great.
Thanks for reading :o) x
Before I even begin this review I would like to point out that my Puma Big Cat gym sack isn't the same colour as the one in the picture! It is a black sack, with a silver/grey Puma logo on the front with the impression it is standing away from the bag due to the clever shading and definition given to the image. Gym sacks have always played some part in my school life and although i am long out of education I still use my sack.
The gym sack closes by pulling the drawstring and the twin drawstrings then form straps for carrying the bag with. Obviously this isn't a product as comfortable as a backpack, but it has many advantages over a backpack. For starters, it is so lightweight and compact. It can be stored in a pocket when not in use due to the thin material and minimalist design. There is plenty of room in the Puma gym sack and they can be used for soes or sports/gym kit etc. The dimensions of the sack are 39cm by 46cm and as I say they offer adequate room for carrying a whole host of things useful to your day. With a price of around £4 they are also reasonably priced.
I would suggest that if you are looking for a bag to carry gym equipment in then you opt for a more robust bag and avoid the gym sack. The advantages of having this sack make it appeal to those looking for an easy solution for just throwing a pair of trainers in for the gym, or for use if you have another rucksack. Not the most comfortable of fits for prolonged use in my opinion as there is no padding the the thin cord straps.
Puma gym bag
Little Miss had mad use of her plain black gym bag since Reception class and now that she is in Year 5 she decided it was about time she had a new one!
A visit to a sports shop had her rooting around fro the one she liked best and having looked at the all she decided on this one.
The bag cost us £4.99 which if it lasts as long as the previous plain black one, will be tremendous value for money. Even if it lasts a year of being hung on a coat peg and carried to and from school, then we have nothing to complain about.
The bag itself is draw string and pulls up towards the top by two sets of double strings. This makes it quite sturdy and also comfortable because it can easily be carried on the shoulders without causing any pain- the thick double strings take the strain.
The bag itself is a deep pink/fuschia colour but not garish and on the front is a large black outline of what is presumably a leaping puma. The back of the bag is plain which is sensible because once the strings are drawn and the bag is on the back, then the back of the bag can't be seen but the full picture of the leaping cat is fully visible. I think this was the deciding factor for Little Miss!
The bag itself is made of synthetic materials and so is waterproof and apparently tear proof because it has now been thrown around and treated with very little respect. It is a thick material and nice and sturdy and well able to take the disrespect which will be afforded to it in a normal school day.
We fill the bag with trainers, shorts, gym top and socks and there is still plenty of room. In fact when it is carried on the shoulders it looks much more than half empty which in fact it is so we are convinced that it will carry lots more.
The bag is tough and durable and can be washed in the washing machine which is always a plus point. After quite a lot of washes it doesn't seem to have faded and retains its fairly stiff appearance- thankfully it hasn't gone all soft and shapeless on us.
There is plenty of room for sports kit and even for a night away this would be more than adequate to carry clothes and toiletries.
Little Miss is more than pleased with it, so for us it's a recommended buy.
