“ Brand: River Island / Type: Backpack „
This rucksack is from River Island which I bought about two months ago but is still in store and on their website. It retails at £30 which I though was relatively cheap for River Island bags considering more of them are £40 plus in price. I didn't mind buying this bag at this price because it's really pretty and I wanted it but usually I wouldn't spend more than £20 maximum.
This is a standard design of a standard rucksack, it has a large main compartment with a smaller on the front and then the straps and that is all there is to this bag except there is a small zip pocket inside as well. What drew me towards this more was the print of the bag, I love animal print accessories such as bags, shoes, jewellery. So this really stood out to me in the shop.
I bought this for university so I can fit all my books in and throw it on my back out of my way. It's really good because I can fit my big puka notepad in, my diary, my little notebook, my huge purse, pens and highlighters, my keys which has like 5 big key rings on it and food with a bottle of drink. So as you can imagine this can fit quite a lot in this.
Although this looks great and has it's handy points by being able to fit a lot in there are some downsides which annoys me, which are that the front pocket does up with a buckle, this is fine except it's too much of a hassle to put anything in because it takes ages to up do it or do it up for example when my phone is in it ringing and by the time I get it out the call has ended. This pocket has ended up being waisted space within the bag which now just carries receipts.
Another big downsides for me is that this does up with a rope which is fine it's quite easy to undo this quickly but doing this up is a hassle when in a hurry like getting out of my uni class. However the bag straps are also attached to the same rope that does the bag with, so the looser the rope is tied, the looser the straps are, When this happens the bag clip that keeps the slap down doesn't stay done up. This is annoying because the straps should of been attached normally rather than by the rope, it means that when doing it up in a hurry you have to tie to tight which prevents it being efficient.
This bag looks great but has turned out not to be practical due to it's stupid straps, this takes up a fair bit of time making sure it's done up properly also there is no other access into the bag for answering phones when ringing which means I often have missed calls. As pretty as this bag is I feel I have just waisted £30 on something I no longer use.
