A rucksack makes things much easier to carry and easy to find things as there are often different pockets to put things in. I bought the Vans bag because it looked good, had a retro feel and it had enough pockets for me to comfortably get my gym things in. It has a really retro, funky look and I could not resist its charm. I went through a bit of a Vans trainer phase when I was younger so I think I'm just trying to relive my youth.

The bag costs £30.00 and I bought it from Shuh the shoe shop. There are a couple of designs to choose from but I preferred the white and black chequered as it is a very iconic look.
The bag has a capacity of 38L and the dimensions are 20" tall x 12" wide x 10" deep. The bag has two shoulder straps and one small carrying handle. The shoulder straps are so comfortable due to the thick padding and the wideness of the straps. The straps are double stitched and are adjustable with standard clips. At school I used to work the off the shoulder look with the bag rucksack hung loosely on my shoulder whereas nowadays I prefer it held closely to my back. There is a main section to the bag that has compartments in for your mobile for example and this fastens with a large strong zip. At the front of the bag there is a large zipped pocket. There are two little mesh pockets at the side of the bag and these can be used to keep bottles of water in or other non valuable items. The whole bag is made from thick polyester and printed with the iconic chequered strip. It is a bit garish but very fun.
This is a really cool bag and has plenty of room for all your possessions. Ifyou use it as a sports bag then there is enough room for my kit, shower things and towel. I can keep my wet things separate in the front pocket if I need to and there is also the option of locking the zippers together if I was to take this bag travelling, although you do not get a padlock or anything with it.
I like the feel of the fabric and due to the thickness it does put up some good resistance against the rain. My concern with this bag was that the pattern would run if it got wet, however it holds up well and it does not blur the design at all. The bottom of the bag seems a little stronger than the rest of the bag and it is a little thicker, the stitching of the bag is all double stitched too so this should help the bag last longer.
Not that I have yet, but you can wash the bag in the machine if you want. I would put it inside a pillowcase. I like to wash my gym bags as they get a bit foisty after a while. I would recommend this bag, it is nothing special in shape or performance but the design is a winner in my eyes.
