New Aldi converted lover!! As our normal condiments are running low I have started buying Aldi ones and so far so good. In a squeezy plastic bottle it had its first tick. 470g for only £1.10. The bottle was a simple clear plastic with a plastic black flip top lid. There was a label on both sides of the bottle stating what ... Read the complete review

I bought a bottle of Bramwells Brown Sauce at Aldi's in Cardigan, Wales, on Saturday and when I first tried it with some baked beans on toast, I wondered where the strange and not at all pleasant taste was coming from. By process of elimination I discovered that it was coming from the sauce. It was a plasticky, unnatural and quite ... Read the complete review

I am a committed ALDIphile! The acid test of own label brands is how they stack up against leading commodities such as ketchup, baked beans etc. ALDI's brown sauce was up there with the best, but alas, the new 'revised recipe' sauce has fallen well short. It has a barbecue flavour which may be fine with a barbecue, but on a bacon buttie at breakfast? No thanks, back to HP on this one!

I am a regular Alsi customer and have tasted the old brand of Brown Sause but the new brand has a taste which puts me off. it is the last bottle of Bramwells Brown Sause I will buy. While I am on my "high horse" I would like to say that Aldi will be driving away all of it's customers if it does not stop putting it's prices up, and please, please don't blame the Government.Yours Bob Cosgrove.

I shop around a lot more now than what I used to and since there is a large, new Aldi shop built here not so long ago then I tend to go in here for a look more often. This sauce is in a squeezy plastic bottle and cost me £1.15. The size of ... Read the complete review

I have only ever really bothered using HP Sauce or Daddies Sauce, when it comes to the lovely brown stuff on your sandwiches, chips or whatever. I always like to have a bottle of either one in the cupboard because they really do add something to whatever you are eating - generally something fried mind, like a sausage sandwich or ... In my house we all get through alot of sauce! One that we all love with things like pie and chips is good old fashioned brown sauce and so the other day during a sauce restock my Mum decided to get us this to try. My Mum always does the bulk of our shop in Sainsbury's or Asda (Occasionally Morrison's or Tesco too lol) and has ... Read the complete review
