      Simply lovely!

I have decided to cook and eat more gravy dinners of late as I am soooo lazy when it comes to cooking! Not living at home I can't be bothered half the time with real cooking but have missed out on roast meat and that for months now! So buying me and my bestmate/flatmate a small joint of beef the other day and some nice fresh vegetables to have with it I realised that for me, no beef dinner with Yorkie pud, gravy and all the trimmings was going to be complete without horseradish sauce and went on the hunt for some whilst still shopping in Asda. This was one of the more expensive jars on offer however the meat looked so good and it was all gonna take me so long to prepare and cook the meal, I decided to spend a little extra and get something bound to be tasty and of good quality. The Packaging: The horseradish sauce comes in a roundish shaped glass see-through jar and holds 195g of the sauce and it has a screw on black twist on/off lid to the top of it concealing a large hole. On the front of the jar there is a dark purple label and on that we are told that it is Asda 'Extra Special' Horseradish Sauce 'Hot and sharp, with English horseradish, cream and free-range egg' and that it contains no artificial colours, flavours or hydrogenated fat and the size is stated (as I have listed already). On the white label on the back of the jar other information listed includes ingredients and allergy advice, there is a nutrtiional chart shown and contact details for Asda are listed. Nice looking jar, this is, easy to open and close etc and it looks smart and is informative enough too. The Horseradish Sauce: Cream coloured and looking like a moist porridge this isn't pourable but you have to get it out of the jar with a utensil. With a lovely vinegary aroma to it this has a roughish texture in the mouth and you can actually feel the small pieces if horseradish that is in this though it isn't chewy or anything adverse like that. This is a hot one...so go easy with this is my best advice to you. It really is flavoursome though with the flavour or horseradish being popped through with a slight vinegar flavour and at the same time it does taste a little creamy. Well seasoned pleasantly but naturally sweet this is a superb, high quality condiment. It doesn't melt on warm/hot foods and is simply a delicious extra to foods..especially beef! Nutritional infomation Per 100g: Energy: 322kcal Protein: 2.4g Carbohydrate: 12.1g Fat: 29.3g Only available in Asda stores at £1.38 a jar!
