      Lovely stuff, great on chips!

I love salad cream and usually I opt for well known brands though recently with being a little strapped for cash I had tried to cut back on the more premium brands that I'm used to purchasing and Asda, with their Smart Price range of products have really have helped me with that!

This costing 50p and being a huge 560g glass jar really did offer me value for money (providing it tasted ok of course!) and it simply has a white and green label on the front of it which is very cheap looking indeed and we are told what it is and that it is suitable for Vegetarians. Other information on the back of the jar includes ingredients, allergy advice, nutritional information is listed too as well as contact details for Asda. Easy to open and close via a twist on and off lid to the top of it with a large hole you can shove a spoon down if you want to and the jar information is informative enough too!

      The Salad Cream itself:

I love this salad cream....its gorgeous! Reasonably thick and light yellow in colour this has a slight sour but well seasoned taste to it, doesn't go to mush if placed near warm/hot foods and really does have a lovely taste of egg yolk with a small hint of mustard to it. Although this is a tangy and highly tasting salad cream, for me it isn't in your face acidic which I hate thank goodness!

Smooth and with a real fragrance more than flavour of mustard to it at treble the price this is sold at, at the moment I would still consider it to be a main contender with other far more expensive brands and this may be an economy purchase but its just as tasty and once opened (if stored in the fridge) will stay fresh for about a month too!
