      Very helpful

tasty filling and satisfying soup that gives you different tastes and textures in each mouthful.

Most of the time I make my own soup but occasionally I do rely on a tin especially if for those cold winter days at work. Now most of the time the soup that I choose comes from the Baxter's Soup Range

      What is it?
      Baxter's describe this soup as
"An inspired combination of pinto beans and pasta shells that offers a delightful taste of the Mediterranean and no shortage of fibre, which does very good things for your digestive system"

The reality on opening the can is a lovely mix of beans pasta and vegetables you can generally see bits of carrot potato and green bean floating in the mix of the thick liquid

      How to cook
There are two ways you can heat this soup up you can either put it in a bowl and heat it the microwave for 3 mins, then stir and heat again for 1-2 minutes. Or you can heat it up in a pan on the hob until it is hot. Now as I tend to eat this at work it is the microwave option for me but beware to do the stirring of you can get bits that are really hot on your tongue!

      The taste test and experience

The liquid part of the soup is thick, but not syrupy in texture, and the vegetables beans and pasta shells are abundant. One of the things I like is that they don't all float at the top or sink to the bottom either. The vegetables are of a good chunky size so you can recognise what they are and so they don't get stuck between your teeth which is great for me at work it wouldn't look very professional seeing patients in the afternoon with bits in-between my teeth.
The flavouring of this soup is not overpowering, I wouldn't say that you can taste each and every vegetable, but you do get a good bean and pasta flavour in most mouthfuls You also get the hint of garlic but not so overpowering you will have garlic breath for the rest of the day.
It is an enjoyable satisfying meal with plenty of interesting textures and flavours as the combinations of vegetables pasta and bean merge in your mouth. I always feel full at the end
I don't find this soup boring because every bite is different, the beans and pasta give plenty of bulk, that this feels like so much more substantial than just a soup for lunch and can often stop me snacking in the afternoon.
I like the fact that I feel confident about the nutritional values of the soup and feel reassured that there is no artificial colours, artificial flavours
or artificial preservatives in this soup. For those of you on the slimming world plan I am sure this is one of the recommend products that you can eat
