I stumbled across these pots whilst I was out shopping one day. I saw that they were on offer and I thought I would give them a go. I love all the Dolmio sauces and had high hopes for these little pots of loveliness. Now for the important stuff!... *** What is it? *** This is a stir-in spicy pepperoni and tomato sauce made by Dolmio. It comes in a plastic container, with a plastic peel-able lid. There is a cardboard sleeve over the top of the container which informs you of the serving instructions, nutritional information, ingredients and a picture of the final product. The container has a 150g of sauce, and suggests that it can serve two ... Read the complete review

I like to have one or two of these Dolmio Stir In pasta sauces at home in case I want to make a quick and easy meal for my partner and I so recently hen I spotted them in Morissons at 2 for £2 I bought a couple. I hadn't ever come across the spicy pepperoni and tomato flavour before so I didn't know what to expect. The stir in sauces come in little 150g pots with a foil seal on top and the cardboard wrapper wrapped around this and once you open them they all look much the same if I'm honest. This one was no different and looked like a pot of tomato sauce with bits of peppers and onions and meat and a layer of oil on top which is exactly how the others look. ... Read the complete review

This is one of Dolmio's 'stir-in' range of Pasta Sauces, which are absolutely perfect for a creating a tasty meal on the cheap without the slightest bit of hassle. I'm pretty damn useless in the kitchen it has to be said (although I do make a mean chilli and my spaghetti bolognese rocks big time) so when forced to actually 'cook' for myself I tend to turn to something like this or reach for my beloved microwave. At the moment, I'm tending to turn to these tubs more often because they are rather cheaper and more tasty than microwave trash. The sauce comes in a 150g foil covered tub which contains enough of the sauce to throw on pasta ... Read the complete review

I like pasta as a quick easy meal at the end of a busy day and I tend to prefer the sauces that you stir in rather than the ones that you have to cook, as I find them more flavoursome. So when I saw an 'Improved Recipe Dolmio Stir-In Sauce For Pasta' in a spicy pepperoni and tomato flavour, I thought I'd give it a try. The product is in a round plastic pot with a foil lid, wrapped with a cardboard sleeve. The foil lid is easy to remove so, once your pasta is cooked to your taste, you simply stir it into your hot pasta. Once the foil lid was peeled back, there was a very strong smell of pepperoni. The sauce itself looks quite thick and is a deep red ... Read the complete review

After reading a review of this on here, I just had to try it. I had never considered pepperoni on pasta before, but it's good on pizza, so I figured it was worth a try, and anyway, other people liked it. Well, my local Tesco and Budgens didn't have this flavour, but I eventually tracked it down to Ocado, where it costs £1.27 a pot, making our entire meal under £1.50. Bargain! First off, it came in a reasonably solid plastic tub with a foil seal and a cardboard sleeve. No reusing the pot, but also no excess packaging. It was easy to open, too, not like some of that type. The scent was deliciously spicy, and I could see plenty of lumps ... Read the complete review
