Dolmio don't just do bolognase sauces any more, they also do Pasta Bakes, and I actually enjoy them quite a bit, and one of my favorite flavours that they do is the Tomato and Cheese flavour.

The Dolmio pasta bake range comes in the same style jars you would find their bolognase and lasagne sauces in, but the label has a picture of a cooked pasta bake on and says Pasta Bake in large green letters under the Dolmio logo. These are available in most major supermarkets now, in many flavours, and usually cost around £1.60 a jar. I at first thought this was quite expensive, but I found that this covers a whole large meal for four people, so it works out at good value for money.

The Tomato and Cheese flavour is very nice, and was the first one I tried out of the Dolmio range. It has a very thick texture, and you can see the nice large lumps of tomato throughout the sauce. The sauce is nice and rich, with a lovely blend of herbs and spices that make the sauce taste wonderful. I believe the cheese is marscopone cheese, and it has a perfect blend of it with the tomato. It is not so strong that it over powers the flavor of the sauce, but not so weak that you can not taste it at all.

As I said before, the sauce covers enough pasta for 4 people, and it is really easy to use. After cooking and draining the pasta, just pour the sauce over the pasta, stir it in well and place in an oven dish. Top with grated cheese, and pop into the oven for about 15 - 20 minutes. Then you have a yummy dish, that I find goes great with a nice salad or a piece of chicken. A great family meal, that goes down well with everyone.

I recommend this pasta bake to everyone, as I really can not find anything wrong with it what so ever.
