When I was having a recent clear up of my kitchen cupboards I found a lot of jars that I had brought in for Christmas, they included items such as Beetroot and Piccalilli and Pickled Cabbage; I was ashamed that I had not got around to sorting these items sooner and as I was sorting them it got me to thinking that it did seem silly that I only buy these items when it comes to Christmas so on my next weekly shop I decided to buy some Pickled Cabbage! I think me buying all these different jars of pickles in has something to with the fact that my Mum and Dad always did it so I guess I carried on the family tradition!!! This deffo isn't the sort of thing I'd usually eat but my mum brought a few jars of pickled recently for Xmas but she opened this red cabbage early to try because we'd not had this brand before. I think it's mega tangy and too much for me to be eating out of the jar like my dad does but a few bits on a cheese sandwich is lovely! The cabbage is cut into chunky shreds and soaked in vinegar with some spices added. It makes the vinegar taste proper hot and sour to me, when I first opened the jar it made my eyes water! lol I love how crispy the cabbage is and also how good the pickling vinegar goes well with it, the vinegar has got to be good though ...  Read the complete review
