Well I just have to say, whilst trying to be objective, this is just simply THE best brand and sub-product offered by a brand ever.
This soup just melts on the tongue and takes you to another place, perfect if you have a gap you need to fill, and even more so if the weather out side has been attrocious, like it often is in the uk and you need something to warm you and lift your spirits. I have tried many different brands of soup, baxters being the main one but none have came close to this.
The only other product that even comes close is one of Heinz newer tomato soup brands that comes in a tall thin can can't quite remember the name of it just now! Which tells you yet more about this product that it is so good and well used that you never forget the name of it.
It just works. Now some people have often told me they find it to creamy and others that they don't like tomatoes or that they like tomatoes but not in soup form.... And whilst these are all valid opinions they are all strange opinions! Because they are held by a small minority of people relative to the wider population.
We sadly can't all like the same things and some may even call me strange for not liking mayonnaise or coleslaw for example and in some ways they would also be right. If you like rich and distinct tasting tomato soup with a strong creamy presence this soup is just up your allaway, if you don't like overly creamy soup, tomatoes, tomatoes in soup form or just soup in general this product is something you should avoid because tomatoey it is most definitely and cream hater friendly it most definitely is not.
If I have to criticise it in anyway it would be the price it regularly retails for higher than the competition such as baxters and own brand soups however one may say that that is merely a reflection in the high demand for it and the quality differential between it and its competitors.
However when you have something this good it seems a shame that it may price itself out of the range of lower income families or people who choose to spend a lot of their income on sporting or gaming pursuits as this is something that really does need to be enjoyed by more people. So if I had some suggesting for Heinz it would be find a way to lower you prices and return this great staple of Britain back to ALL the people of Britain.
Summary: Simply the most delicious and creamiest tomato soup out their at the moment in my opinion
