      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Not for me this one I'm afraid!

I love pasta but I'm not very keen on plain pasta which is why I buy stir in sauces rather often. I spotted this in Asda recently and as my friend who I am staying with at the moment is a Vegetarian it seemed one that we should try out!

      The Packaging:

500g glass jar with a blue screw on/off lid to the top of it. On the front of the label on the jar I am told that it is Homepride Pasta Bake 'Four Cheese'. On the back of the label other information listed includes being told how to use it, nutritional information is given along with a list of ingredients and allergy advice and contact details for the manufacturer are given. Nice easy to open and understand jar this is.

      Using It:

Open the sauce up you get a slightly gloopy, strong cheese smelling sauce which is like an off white colour. Smooth and with no bits in it all all you do with this is boil up some pasta and then when cooked transfer it to an oven proof dish and tip the contents of the jar all over it and bake it in the oven for about half an hour or so.

The sauce does lose it's gloopiness and become rather runny and looks appetising enough to be fair to it.

Taste wise though well me and my mate didn't like this sauce at all. It ponged the house out and it tasted powdery with a really artificial sweetness to it and afterwards it left a really odd aftertaste in the mouth neither of us could shift for ages.

We felt bored by it and felt it was too overpowering in flavourings and it needed a bit of something else to it flavour wise. Not for us this one and I won't be eating it again any time soon if I can possibly help it lol.
