A very tasty pasta sauce; quick and easy but not cheap.

For some reason it isn't that often that I at pasta or spaghetti even though I like it! It is even less often that I actually buy Pasta sauces, usually preferring to make my own sauce. However, my partner will often buy pasta sauces and he suggested we have spaghetti bolognaise and told me he had 2 pasta sauces in his cupboard and kindly enough said we would use whichever one I wanted.
I noticed he had this Ragu Red Wine & Herbs sauce and I really like the flavour of Red wine in sauces, so this was the one I chose. This sauce comes in a 500g jar and there is enough in my view for about 4 people. It is incredibly easy to cook! All you need to do is brown your mince then stir in the sauce, simmer for 5 to 10 minutes and serve with your pasta!! We did cook this for longer however, (about 20 minutes) which I would recommend in order to get the fullness of the flavours. We did also add some of our own ingredients to make the sauce even more flavoursome (Garlic & Oregano). We had spaghetti with it, with grated Cheese on top. I was really pleased with the outcome and the flavours in this sauce. You could taste the flavour of the wine mixed in with all the other herbs and tomatoes. It was absolutely delicious and just the right consistency; not runny but not excessively thick. If you do find it a little thick you could always add a little water, but we didn't find this necessary. My partner doesn't have a very big appetite but he ate the whole lot as did I!

      *Ingredients*
Tomato puree (26.3%), Red Wine (10%), Tomato (5.9%), Sugar, Modified Corn starch, Onion, Garlic salt, Lemon Juice, Herbs (Oregano, Basil), Black Pepper, Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid)

      *Calories*
Per 125g serving there are 65 kcals.

Unless on special offer this sauce is too expensive in my view at around £1.90 per jar. However, the taste is really good and it saves you a lot of time re cooking! Worthy of 4 Dooyoo stars in my view.
