      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Not for me sadly!

I love brown sauce! I get through heaps of the stuff so last week I grabbed a stores own brand trying to save myself a few pennies! This cost about 79p in Morrisons and I liked the sound of it as 'thick' was the in the title and I do like a nice thick rich sauce!

      The Packaging:

The sauce comes in a see-through glass bottle with a tapered neck that has a screw on/off white cap/lid to the top of it and it holds 335g of product.Around the bottle it has a white and brown label and on the front of that I'm told it is Morrisons Thick Brown Sauce, the size is stated (as I've listed already) and there is an at a glance nutritional chart displayed. Other information on the bottle includes a list of ingredients and allergy advice is given, a full nutritional chart is given along with storage advice,I'm told it is suitable for Vegetarians and contact details for Morrisons are given. It's a nice enough, informative bottle and serves it's purpose well!

      The Sauce:

Dark brown with a rather weird smell to it. Kind of fruity but a little off putting and like strong damsons (looking at the ingredients list of course this contains dates!). It's runny enough to come out of the bottle and to get the last dregs out of it (if you store it upside down) but it's of a decent consistency and not too runny and doesn't melt badly if put near warm/hot food.

Taste wise well it's smooth on the tongue and kind of gloopy and for me this is far to vinegary and sour. It's very sweet but in a rather natural way, well seasoned and a little spicy due to the spices added of course.

For me this simply has a slight cheap taste to it due to the amount of vinegar in it. It's far too sharp for my liking but if you like incredibly rich sauces maybe you should give this a try, but me I won't be eating it again my taste-buds can't take it it lol.

      Allergy Advice:

      Contains: Gluten and soya.
Produced in a factory which uses nut, peanut and sesame ingredients.
