I like Napolina Bolognese sauce for lasagne as it is thick, tomatoey, and seasoned just right to give an authentic lasagne taste.
A 350 g jar is normally £1.79 around Sainsburys but at the moment (05/08/13) it is on offer for just £1. Knowing this is a really nice sauce, I took advantage of this offer and bought three jars of it. I use it in lasagnes and in spaghetti bolognese too (with the addition of a handful of chopped mushrooms). It's very tasty and free from artificial flavours, colours and preservatives.
The ingredients are: Chopped Tomatoes in Tomato Juice (47%) (with Firming Agent Calcium Chloride), Tomato Puree, Onion (8%), Sugar, Corn flour, Garlic Puree, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Red Wine Vinegar, Salt, Herbs, Colour (Paprika Extract), Black Pepper.

To use this sauce in a lasagne just brown your mince in a pan and then add this sauce to the meat and simmer for ten minutes - then proceed with making your lasagne as usual. Nothing could be simpler really. This convenient sauce saves time in the kitchen and is very flavoursome.
The sauce flavours the meat as it cooks through, making it taste delicious. It's not too garlicky like some lasagne sauces. It finds a pleasant balance between the tomatoes, onions, garlic and herbs - neither too tart nor too sweet and smells wonderful when cooking. Pasta dishes are extremely popular in my house and this sauce is one of our favourites. There are never any leftovers. It gets my vote.
