... other onions. The onions are pickled in spirit vinegar which is the seethrough stuff instead of brown malt vinegar, that's good because it means the onions are pure white and don't look all manky and stained when you take them out of the vinegar.
The taste is delish, they've got a nice fresh onion flavour but and the vinegar brings that out as well as giving the onions a wickedly tangy flavour. I LOVE these Cocktail Onions from Opies, I don't know why we first brought them because the jar is tiny compared to the normal picked onions we buy but we quite often get them now because they're delish. They're 85p for a 185g jar and I've only ever seen them in Asda, this makes them a dear way of buying pickled onions but they're so yummy that it doesn't matter! lol They are silverskin onions and very small, this is wicked because they've got a lovely crunch to them and don't hold onto as much of the vinegar as other onions.
