      Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!

I LOVE these Cocktail Onions from Opies, I don't know why we first brought them because the jar is tiny compared to the normal picked onions we buy but we quite often get them now because they're delish.

They're 85p for a 185g jar and I've only ever seen them in Asda, this makes them a dear way of buying pickled onions but they're so yummy that it doesn't matter! lol

They are silverskin onions and very small, this is wicked because they've got a lovely crunch to them and don't hold onto as much of the vinegar as other onions. The onions are pickled in spirit vinegar which is the seethrough stuff instead of brown malt vinegar, that's good because it means the onions are pure white and don't look all manky and stained when you take them out of the vinegar.

The taste is delish, they've got a nice fresh onion flavour but and the vinegar brings that out as well as giving the onions a wickedly tangy flavour. The vinegar isn't madly hot and deffo doesn't make you cringe as you eat it, it's a nice smooth vinegar that's makes the onions taste a bit sweet and tangy at the same time.

I chop them up and put them on cheese sandwiches sometimes as a change from plain onion. It's yummy and it doesn't even matter if you don't drain all the vinegar off because when it makes the bread wet that just adds something even nicer to the sandwich! lol My mum used them over Xmas, she cut them in half and put a cocktail stick through them and a chunk of cheddar. Delish!!!

These are best just eaten straight out of the jar though like all pickled onions! lol The vinegar isn't majorly sharp but you can tell you're deffo eating pickled onions, it's the sweetness and crunch of the onions that makes them loads nicer than the bigger pickled onions that my mum has been buying recently.

Recommended.... they might be small buy they're yummy!!!
