Not too keen on this offering at all!

I love soup and get through rather a lot of the stuff in this colder weather snap that we have been having of late! At 35p for a standard sized can and knowing I love carrot and coriander soup I decided to treat myself to a couple of cans of the stuff!

      The Packaging:

40g can with a white label around it and on the front there is a photograph of the soup on there and I'm told of course that it is Sainsbury's 'Be Good To Yourself' Carrot & Coriander Soup and that it contains less than 1% fat and there is an at a glance nutritional chart on there too. On the back of the can other information given includes ingredients and allergy advice being listed, a full nutritional rundown chart is shown, the size is stated, heating instructions are given and contact details for Sainsbury's also put in an appearance. Nice, informative enough can this is.

      The Soup Itself:

Heat it up in a microwave for about 4minutes or in a saucepan for about 5 minutes it is easy to heat through!

The liquid is thin, ornagy with a slight sort of cinnamon smell to it. I was surprised at it's such runny consistency really but could see shards of carrot in there along with pieces of what appeared to be fresh coriander though not loads of that.

It tasted nice enough but was a little on the spicy side for me and my taste-buds. I felt it was a bit too peppery and I would of appreciated the soup being a little thicker in it's consistency really as I felt it was a little too runny. The carrot and coriander within the soup however was cooked well enough and I can't say this soup delighted me but can't say that it repulsed me either really. It's of decent enough quality of course, tastes of carrot and coriander and has a light fresh feel to it.

Not the best soup I have ever eaten though and I say when it comes to carrot and coriander soups your really best off not being a lazy bones and making it yourself!
