“ Brand: Sainsbury's / Type: Soups „
Sainsbury's Lentil and Bacon Soup. Well i was most impressed with this soup, it comes in a plastic container and has a snap off around the edge lid, and it holds a full pot full of 600 grams full. It is a sort of orangey colour and the taste is really good, thinking that i wouldnt have been a fan of lentils having eaten a lot of them when i was younger i was most pleasently suprised with this soup, it was thick you could taste the lentils and the taste of the bacon what a great combination this soup really is, and i will definetely add this to my shopping list again. It cost One Pounds 49p for the 600gram pot and it is worth every penny, i got two great big bowls full from this plastic pot, it is really nice to have as a starter for any meal, and thats how we had it. Contains 66Kcals, Protein 4.3gs, Fat 0.9grams, carbs of 1.3grams. You can freeze this soup and they recommend that you do so on the day of purchase, you can keep in the freezer for a full month. You can mircrowave from chilled, but i prefer to heat mine in a saucepan until hot enough to your liking. Contains Water, Red Split Lentils Carrots ( guess thats where the colour comes from) Smoked Streaky Bacon, and Tomato Puree, and Salted Butter, and Garlic Puree. The Taste was creamy but with a lovely tang from the smokey bacon, and you could taste little lumps of vegtables but not too much. Allergy Advice : Contains Milk. All in all a warming bowl of soup which i personally recommend and the soup is great to have as a starter at any dinner party, or family meal. Thanks for reading and rating my reviews x.
