It has a wrapping across the middle which i found washes off easily with hot soapy water, it has a screw off lid which takes a little while to open, but nevertheless the sauce inside smells really nice, and pours out ok, not to thick, but not to watery like some of the other cheaper sauces I have tried. SAINSBURY'S ONION and GARLIC PASTA SAUCE. Whilst searching for my usual pasta sauce, I spotted this one in my local Sainsbury's, and for a large jar full of 500grams thought I would give it a try, as it looks good and wanted to save a few pence. Ive tried the cheaper brands before from another supermarket but as this ones cheap at just under a £1.00 thought I would give it a try. It comes in a glass jar, (which I wash out afterwards)and give to my mum as she fills them up with homemade jam, bless her. One of my favourite home cooked meals is Spaghetti Bolognaise. I've never made the sauce from scratch though, and tried this last week. I always buy a Sauce that has Onion and Garlic in it, as I like the taste of that mixed in with the Tomato and Mince, so that is how I ended up trying this one. Ragu normally was my favourite until they seemed to change the recipe a couple of years ago and in my view the taste isn't that good. Also a jar of Ragu and Dolmio in my Sainsbury's was costing £1.72 for 500g, whereas this one only cost 98p.
