A very good sauce for certain oriental meals

Sharwoods Plum Sauce is an excellent condiment and sauce for many meals of certain types such as Thai, Indian and Chinese. It has a very sweet taste and although it's quite high in sugars, it's not exactly that unhealthy to eat every now and then. It has a fabulous flavour and texture so is ideal for dipping, topping and more.

It comes in a 310g glass bottle for around £1.99 and it can be bought at certain supermarkets such as Tesco and Sainsburys but it's more limited than other sauces and condiments. The bottle has a large black metal lid on the top, which easily unscrews just a little bit to reveal the sauce.

There is a modernly designed label on the front, which has the Sharwood's logo and Plum Sauce description in an oriental sort of writing. It is described too as 'sweet and fruity' and they suggest it is for glazing and dipping. It is great for glazing things such as duck but it goes well with a lot of other things too such as beef and even chicken.

The sauce is a sort of brown colour and in all honesty, it doesn't LOOK very appetizing but it certainly is delicious! It has quite a thick texture and pours out the glass bottle quite easily. It goes very well with things such as Sharwood's noodles, duck and rice too. These are ideal foods to use it with but it can also replace Hoi Sin sauce if you are having duck and pancakes as it has a somewhat similar sweet taste.

It's really tasty and I'd recommend it as it's sweet and really fruity. You don't need a large amount to mix some in with noodles for example or it will become sickly, as I have found out before! Although it's rather limited, you can definitely find it in places like Tesco and for £1.99, it's great to keep in your fridge as it will last a long time.

      Thanks for reading,
