Advantages: Thicky, tasty, filling

Disadvantages: None

WeightWatchers (WW) branded foods are popular amongst people who are following the WW discover plan as they come armed with the points value they contain and this soup is no exception, stating on the lable that it contains 1 point per half a can.

I would say that one immediate downside to the soup is that you can pick it up and think that it is 1 point per can as the 'half a can' is not really that clear on first viewing, however, the downsides end there!

The soup comes in a 400g can and is the perfect size for lunch, without the additional need for bread. It is very easy to cook, just pull back the ring pull, pour into a bowl and bung in the microwave for 3 minutes and voila, your soup is ready to be devoured.

A lot of diet foods get accused of being bland and tasteless, however, this breaks the mould. Its called spicy bean soup, and it really is spicy bean soup! It is thick, contains loads of beans, and has a real kick to it. I was expecting a watery mush and got much more than I bargained for! The soup contains kidney beans, haricot beans, tomatoes, peppers, carrots and onions, so it really is filling.

For those that are watching what they eat and want a quick and convienient lunch, I would certainly recommend this soup, it is even suitable for those who aren't so bothered about calories due to its wholesome taste!

* Suitable for vegitarians and found in most large supermarkets, retailing at around 70p-80p *

Summary: Great for a quick lunch.
