For maximum versatility and performance, Agfa has combined the highly successful TwinPlate concept of the original DuoScan together with the dual lens system of DuoScan T2000 XL A3 scanner. The TwinPlate consists of separate, built-in reflective and film scanning surfaces. These can be loaded independently of each other for maximum productivity. The DuoScan T2500 is four scanners in one! It has built-in transparency and reflective scanning beds, which can be scanned consecutively. Dual lenses allow either the full bed width to be scanned at medium resolution (1250 ppi optical) or half of the width at high resolution (2500 ppi optical). Switching between these four modes is automatic: you simply choose options in the menus and the T2500 responds immediately! In high-resolution mode, you can enlarge a 35 mm slide up to more than A3 format (11" x 17") for printing in high-quality offset! With 36-bit super-sampling and a 3.4D density range, the T2500 captures billions of colors. It pulls every bit of detail out of the darkest shadows. Removable batch film holders make high-volume batch scanning a practical reality. Load slide or negative films into multiple holders while your scanning continues. The glassless holders eliminate Newton rings and light loss due to refraction.
