Advantages: resolution, speed and qualirt of scanning

Disadvantages: it is a bit bulky and big

My dad bought this scanner for our PC, instead of the scanner you get as part of the package. I am so glad he picked this as its a fabulous scanner at a reasonable price. I can't remember the price for this, but all i remember is that, at the time this was the best scanner for its price and a top-class cheap scanner.

It is made to perform on Windows 98 and iMac. Another good thing about it is that it is USB, and that was pretty good when i got it and that was 2 odd years ago.

There are many advantages to the scanner, it has excellent colour capture (36 bit) It can see way over one billion colours which is fantastic and boastful. The scanning is also fast because scanning will take no longer than 25 secs, usually they are much quicker than this. The images are very sharp and have brilliant detail and focus to them as it is 600 by 1200 ppi optical resolution. I t can also scan up to 9600 pp1 which is amazing and a great help.

The software supplied is also probably better than most scanners. When you are processing what you are scanning, the whole software is brilliant and you can edit your document greatly. Also you cna add some cool features to your document, plus the set up to scan in the picture is easily set up ad is numbered so it is so easy for first time users.

I really like my Agfa Snapscan 1212u scanner, as it is very easy to use and the resolution and detail of the scanning is excellent. The only downside that could be the problem with it is that it is a bit big and heavy for a scanner but that is no real problem, because the main idea of it is how it scans and the simplicity. Both being excellent as it has brilliant quality and it is extremely easy to use.

Also when i say that, its software is better than most other scnaners i mean that you get other software with it such as Corel Printhouse where you can edit pictures further to make them even more intersting.
