I'm new to the world of scanners, but am very impressed by the quality of the Agfa Snapscan e20. Setting up is very quick, connect the power cable and the USB cable, then plug it into a free USB slot on the PC. Install the Scanwise software from the CD and then all you have to do is double-click the icon on the desktop and it's ready for use. The ScanWise software is well programmed and it looks good. Make sure you download the latest version 2.0 from www.agfa.co.uk as it has more features. All in all I'm pretty new to the world of scanning. I know my stuff about computers and even printers, but I had never had the need to use a scanner before. So when I got a new PC I wasn't particularly bothered about having a scanner, although I did need a new printer. I didn't want to pay a fortune for the printer as I wasn't going to be doing anything important, so I set out to look for a new, cheap printer. God knows why I ever looked in Argos, but I did, and it was a good job I did - because I found a printer and scanner bundled together for the great price of £100.
