While some scanners interpolate color depth, Agfa's SnapScan delivers true 42-bit color. The SnapScan e25 is designed to appeal to the home user for both personal and business applications. The SnapScan's unique programmable push-button operation simplifies and speeds the scanning process, while providing user-defined functionality. The scanner also provides USB connectivity for easy plug-and-play operation and fast data transfer. The SnapScan e25 lets users push a button to scan and send the image directly to the printer. Another button scans and sends the image directly to the selected email client. The third button launches Agfa's ScanWise software for manual control of scan settings. Agfa also took aesthetics into consideration when designing the smooth rounded body with its three interchangeable color handles (berry blue, tangerine, graphite). Agfa adds Iris ReadIris OCR (optical character recognition) and Corel Print Office 2000 to the SnapScan e25 scanning bundle. Corel Print Office makes it easy to create impressive documents and Web pages. It includes photo-editing tools, style templates, and support for digital cameras and scanners. Readiris, which recognizes 55 languages, lets users easily convert hard-copy documents-originals, faxes and photocopies-into editable text.
