Canon Canoscan N1240U ... i'm actually writing this op because my scanners broken and i got really annoyed. bought this for around £120 when it first came out about 2 yrs ago and when it was working correctly, it was good, but the images i scanned never seemed to be as good as another scanner for the same price range. i don't know why this is, i've never had a scanner before this one, but comparing to my friends' scans, mine seemed to look not as good! well anyway, i've only really used the scanner a few times, and mainly bought it for my technology graphics project at school. i never seemed to get very high quality scans from say books, but i seemed to get some qu... Canon Canoscan LiDE 50 ... I had to upgrade to a better scanner from my canon FB630U, I went with the Consumer Reports results and bought a Epson 1260 Photo Scanner because it was rated a faster scan speed than Canon. The Epson was a faster scan but after you had to wait some time for it to warm up. So I sold the Epson and bought the Canon Lide 50 with the high speed usb cable. I was truly amazed beyond the second coming of Christ on how fast and well this scanner works. My old FB630 was slow but this new Canon is everyone's dream come true, the people at Canon has finally gave what the people wanted. Great scans, fast speed, and affordable price. Canon Canoscan N670U ... also own the Cannon N670U and like some was also slightly disappointed, but after downloading the latest drivers and software the scanner came to life with vivid colours and sharp images plus a huge Increase in Speed. The original review of this scanner was very good which was why I brought it, I just wonder what drivers and software was used in the tests. Anyway I now have a great product and like any other hardware I own now check on their website's for driver/software upgrades as In this case It made a huge difference. ...
