Epson make top quality scanners, although the most expensive, they are semi proffesional units, capabable of amazing results. Clearly an awesome scanner. Bundled with decent software to get the most out of the machine. The twain software is totally tweakable with all kinds of options to play with from gamma correction, image scaling and so on. The hardware of the scanner is amazing, so there is little software interpolation to sharpen the image, the scanner contains alot of guts to be capable of such results.
