	Epson GT 15000 ... A3 flatbed scanner was purchased to compliment an older Epson GT12000 Scanner. The initial setup was very straightforward, being both SCSI and USB, with the USB being the preferred method mainly for the convenience of being able to switch on the scanner without having to reboot the machine (which has to be done with SCSI if it wasn't on at bootup), and also not having to take the case off the PC to install a SCSI card. 	Epson Perfection 1250 ... Perfection 1250 scanner is a very good scanner, it is not just a scanner that can scan your normal pictures and text documents. There is a fast track button system on the front which means you can scan things without opening the supplied program. You can copy things straight to the printer just like a photocopier or you can scan to e-mail, in which case the scanner will make the picture the right file size for you internet speed. In the old days you would have to hook your printer to your scanner and then the scanner to the computer and if you did not have the scanner on you could not print. 	Epson Perfection 1660 Photo ... sitting writing this while my new Epson Perfection 1660 Photo scans in 35mm slides. This is a flatbed scanner, which cost me £149 in PC World yesterday (My 2003). It takes 4 mounted slides at one time and scans them nicely into an Epson Smart Panel piece of software, where you can rename them (the default labelling is File0001, File 0002 etc..) You then save them into an appropriate format, which includes Bitmap, JPG, TIFF. Setting the scanner up is a breeze, and I have only used the Autoscan function so far which recognises what you are trying to scan and adjusts all the settings accordingly (I assume!)
