I Have this scanner and can tell you first hand that the quality of the Scans are brilliaint. It is definately value for money and is well worth having. I dont not think you need a scanner woth £400 unless you are using it to run a business is photography or anything where you need the results to be perfect to the point. This scanner is good enough for home and office use and i would definately reccomend it to anyone who needs a scanner. This new scanner from HP is a good choice to buy for home, to scan our daily documents, fotos, personal documents, etc. It's economic, easy and fun to use everyday. It has an optical resolution of 1200 dpi and 48 bit ( a profissional sacanner has much more resolution) , you can scan a text and then change its configurations as you like, complete software included, extremely easy to use, can be used with PC and Macintosh with connection USB ...
