A good few years ago, when I got into PCs in a big way (in the mid-1990s) I was impressed by the idea of a scanner. Here was an item (handheld in those days for most home users, looking a little bit like a flattened hairdryer!) that you could use to "grab" a photo or image in a magazine or book, transfer to your PC, and play about with ... My hubby bought me the HP ScanJet 3300C for Christmas, to help ease the stress of photocopying worksheets for our two boys, whom we homeschool. This flatbed scanner works very well for copying pages out of books, as I was doing. Or you can successfully scan quality graphics files of color photos. I even scanned a positive pregnancy test and ... Read the complete review

As a completely novice scanner-owner I was initially unsure whether my first attempts at scanning and printing excellent quality photos came out so badly because of me, or my NEW equipment. However, after several attempts at improving the focus, brightness etc using various software programs I concluded that my Scanjet 3300C wasn't working ... Read the complete review

Hewlett Packard is a name you can trust to give you quality and reliability. With this scanner you are getting great quality as far as scanning, the thing that you lose is the time it takes to scan a photo, this model is slightly slower. So if you don’t mind waiting about an extra minute to scan something then this scanner will do ... Read the complete review

This HP scanner is a very good amateur scanner. It is very easy to plug, install and use. All you need to do to set up the scanner is to plug it in the back of your computer (with an USB cable) and to plug it in a power socket. After doing that, you should install the CD that comes with the scanner and that is it! It's ... Read the complete review

When I decided to purchase a scanner, I asked some friends with scanners for recommendations and did some comparisons for myself. Hewlett Packard was one name that was mentioned several times. I only wanted it for my own basic home use. I mainly use it only to scan photographs to e-mail to friends and family and for my webpage. I didn't want ... Read the complete review

Although i am a great fan of HP products this one is not one of my favourite, it is very slow to scan. The image quality is not what i would expect from a great name like HP, it works well with windows 98 which i assume most of you guys are running the scanner on, however when i recently updated to windows me could i get the wretched thing to ... This being my second scanner I would have to say HP have made this scanner very simple to use. To scan an image and send it to a file or the printer can be done by pressing one of the two buttons on the front of the scanner. Or it can be done by launching the software included with the scanner. The software supplied by HP is ... Read the complete review

I have had a few scanners over the years and I can safetly say that this is the best one that I have had so far. the machine itself is nice to look at aswell, its flip lid has extendable hinges that allow you to scan somethings that are quite large, you can even remove it if you wish as it just slots in and out no screws. As a simple idiot-proof scanner, the HP Scanjet 3300 is ideal. It's a basic flat-bed machine which can double as a photocopier at need. It comes with interesting software which I haven't had occasion to explore. We had a lot of trouble persuading the computer to recognise its existence, and ended up having to re-install Windows, which ... Read the complete review

A customer brought me her computer to fix a problem with a game and this scanner to install. The game was a difficult problem; installing the scanner was a breeze. Furthermore, I was impressed with the quality and performance of this $130 scanner. INCLUDED. The 3300C comes packed in sturdy retail box which includes: A ... Read the complete review
