FUNCTIONALITY:
1. Given the highly dubious US 'Energy Star' rating (as all newly released HP products seem to be given) it supposedly uses less power than equivalent devices. However since this rating does not specify to what degree energy usage should be reduced it's effectively meaningless.

BASICS: At a time when the domestic user is increasingly reliant on All-in-one printers/scanners/copiers the computing accessories marketing machine has had to increasingly turn to other methods of selling scanners. In this case HP attempt to appeal to the archivist wanting tho scan, preserve and restore photos slides and negatives.... something that is highly problematic (see below). It retails at around £80, for which you get a scan resolution of 4800 x 9600 dpi. The flatbed is 22 x 30 cm in size and weighs around 3kg.
