Images are exposed by high-intensity, long-life, cold cathode lamps that emit evenly dispersed, consistent light ensuring exceptional quality scans from original reflective and transparent images ranging in size from 8" x 14" to 35mm transparencies.

Engineered to meet the production needs of design and publishing professionals, the ArtixScan 1100 features Microtek's patented Dual Platen design allowing users to switch quickly and easily between transparent and reflective originals. This innovative design rotates mirrors instead of lenses for platen transition to minimize lens damage and focus problems caused by excessive lens movement. The AS1100 package includes four interchangeable glassless batch scan transparency holders eliminate unwelcome image artifacts such as Newton rings -often introduced by glass beds. An 8" x 10" glass holder is also included for larger or non-standard film formats.
