Advantages: Bursting With Features

Disadvantages: Can be slow at High resolutions

I've had my Bearpaw scanner for 9 months now and think it is great!I was first attracted by the price for a USB connection then had a closer look...
The scanner looks smart and has a cute panel in the shape of a bearpaw. It is perhaps a little chunkier than others on the market but it's character is leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. The user has the option of using either the harware buttons (on the scanner) or the software buttons (found in the system tray of your PC) both offer absolute ease of use and good results. You can even adjust the resolution to suit your needs.

If you use your PC for e-mailing as much as I do, you will find the Bearpaw's E-mail function a snappy little touch. At the touch of a button you can scan a document/picture and it transfers as an attachement into a new message in Outlook Express (if that is what you use) ready to send to your selected recipiant. So no more messing about saving docs to then attach and send!

This scanner has something to please every member of the family, it has fax, copy, and e-mail facilities for home of office use and has bundled software which enables you to change and personalise your desktop and Icons without any the behind the scenes knowledge of Windows.

I bought this scanner at PC World at paid around £120 for it, but I am sure other on-line suppliers may offer it a little cheaper.

I would not be without my Bearpaw and can recommend it to anyone!Drivers for different versions of Windows are easily accessible on the web and easy to find, so no matter what o/s you are using: 95, 98, NT, 2000 or XP this is a great little scanner and great value for money.
